The ancient Myans or Aztecs (I can't remember which) used to dance a dance called a Sun Dance. This dance was an expression to the earth and a religious call to the sun. After reading about it I had the sudden urge to attempt to draw it.
From what I read this ancient civilization would dress in beautiful robes and dresses, they would wear pearls and beads about their necks and cover their heads and arms in gold. This is just the sketch and I plan on perfecting it but let me know what you think. This sketch alone took about six hours and that includes cleaning it up eraseing and darkening the lines |
